The PADI Enriched Air Diver (nitrox) course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course.
As PADI’s most popular specialty diver program, the Enriched Air Nitrox course teaches you the skills and knowledge of diving with gases that have an increased amount of Oxygen than in air. Breathing Enriched Air Nitrox helps you get more out of your diving experience by extending your no decompression limits whilst receiving the physiological benefits of breathing higher levels of Oxygen.
Course Prerequisites:
To qualify for the PADI Enriched Air Diver course, an individual must:
1. Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver* or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.
2. Be 15 years of age or older.
Course Components:
The PADI Enriched Air Diver Course is designed to qualify recreational divers to use enriched air (“nitrox”) for no stop recreational diving. The program addresses the use of enriched air with 22 percent to 40 percent oxygen, with emphasis on enriched air with 32 and 36 percent oxygen.
The training is classroom based and utilises the Enriched Air Diver DVD, manual and RDP 32% and 36%.
The DVD and manual will cover the benefits and safety considerations of diving with Enriched Air and hands-on practical learning will cover how to analyse and label Enriched Air cylinders.
